About NPHHI - Overview
The National Public Health and Hospital Institute (NPHHI) is a private, nonprofit organization established in 1988 to address major issues facing public hospitals, safety net organizations, underserved communities and related health policy issues of national priority. NPHHI is the research affiliate of the National Association of Public Hospitals and Health Systems (NAPH). Its board includes distinguished health policy, academic, non-profit and safety net hospital experts.
NPHHI’s mission is to:
- Conduct and disseminate research on a wide range of issues that are critical to public and safety net hospitals and health systems.
- Provide targeted educational and training programs for senior administrative and medical leadership in NAPH hospitals.
- Disseminate best practices to NAPH members in particular and the hospital industry as a whole.
